Center for Faith and Health Initiatives listens to the heartbeat of the community:

Asset Development —strengthening agencies and communities & building on community strengths (faith, seniors, volunteers, skills, culture, youth)

Services include:

  • economic development classes & activities
  • disaster management
  • multicultural outreach
  • community health and special events
  • volunteer management
  • Caring Communities Home Restoration Project

Accomplishments include:  
• 58 new staff positions for partner agencies
• 5 new health and social service agencies
• 100+ full-time VISTAs for 31 different agencies
• 29 new funders for partner agencies
• leadership/coordination of 6 coalitions/alliances
• 5 on-going food pantries
• 1 low income apartment complex
• 125+ fliers and publications in 5+ languages
• 8 partner agencies with first time grant funding
• 100+ different training/empowerment classes annually
• disaster management services in 6 cities
